Following the frantic and life changing adventure, from the Secret of the Orchard, the five’s students from Fig house lay ghostly white in the schools infirmary after being maliciously poisoned.

Two of the miraculously recover, only to be thrust into another perilous escapade to find the remedy to cure the 3 stricken  friends, that lies in the second orchard.

As their danger filled journey continues, they learn new and shocking truths about Mr Thornby the deputy head.

Back in school, tensions mount between the teachers, Amie and her best friend Gramon, with far reaching consequences. The schools governing body’s also called in to question Mrs Blackfruit, the schools headmistress , and one of the governing body happens to be Gramon’s mother, whom she hasn’t seen in nearly 6 months.
