The first in a series of seven standalone adventures

Jimmy was the alien who chose to live on Earth after his Intergalactic ambassador parents died when they were overtaken by Earth’s coughs and colds. He was left in the care of a kindly ‘Aunt’ Ethel. Endowed with a bright red mop of unruly hair, big blue eyes, a small snub nose, pointed ears and enormous feet, the neighbourhood children ridiculed Jimmy, until he decided to run away to find a place where he could fit in. In his midnight flight through the forest, he stumbled into the underground world of Roombelow. He rescued the town from the curse of the sleeping spell cast by Matilda the Witch and was ‘adopted’ by Mr McDonald, the Mayor.

Matilda and Gemma, the little lady who lives at the bottom of the well, but doesn’t know how she got there, become Jimmy’s close friends.

When rain threatened a flood, Jimmy located the sleeping Weather Man (aka Lord Oron), who turned off the rain.

When the well dried up, Jimmy and Gemma discovered that a giant eel had blocked the spring that fed the well. They show Olsen how to get back to his home in the sea.

Aunt Ethel explains to Jimmy that a starship hidden in the forest could take him home, but he chose to stay in Roombelow.

One-eyed trolls threaten, and Jimmy outwits their chief, Erg, but his return is delayed by the discovery of the cliffside world of Lithnia, inhabited by little people, Diamites, who look like Gemma. Jimmy takes Gemma to search for her lost family.

Lithnia needs a supply of goods from The Traders across the sea, but they are stealing diamonites. Jimmy seeks justice, but Gemma is kidnapped by the thieves who intend to sell her as a curiosity.

He discovers where Gemma is imprisoned and rescues her, but a mighty storm threatens their escape. Water witch Ira helps with her magic, and with the aid of a pod of dolphins, they safely return home.

  Jimmy decides it is time to visit his birthplace, the star world Attalia, and the hidden starship is reactivated, heading homeward through the stars, guided by XRU, the onboard AI navigator.

En route, the ship is damaged during an attack from Kursh, head of the planet Ock, and Jimmy has to abandon the starship in a life support capsule.

The Attalian Rescue Mission saves Jimmy, and Commander Zaru, befriends him. Jimmy is welcomed to Attalia by President Alpha because there were no surviving members of Jimmy’s family.

The Attalians face another attack from Ock, and interplanetary warfare follows. They repel the invaders, but Kursh intends to rule over Attalia. Jimmy devised a plan to close the time warp linking Attalia to Ock. The destruction of the warp marooned Kursh in nether space, and once continued peace is assured, Jimmy returns to his family of friends in Roombelow.
