Author Jack Holt, a recent finalist winner of the Wishing Shelf Literary Society, is launching his fifth book. It is called The Other Side of Nowhere and takes place in Russell County, Kentucky during the early 1900s, 1920s, and 1930s. It is a southern Gothic horror mystery/thriller and a cautionary tale about keeping an eye on your children. The murder and rape of little Nannie Womack, a northern resident in 1908, was committed in Russell County, Kentucky. Her terrifying story left an underlying curse on the county after the hanging of thef evil perpetrator. Can an evil entity take over parts of the County? Jack’s novel is partly true and biographical with some historical fiction and supernatural events revealed. Definitely a page turner and not a book you will read before going to bed.
